Nice how that Post-Wedge World is so Wedge-free, eh?

    Hi Nick,

I view the post-wedge world as the world where ID cannot legally be taught in the public schools. This is because it was ID that came to be used as the Wedge. ID was The Wedge for those in the movement. I always found it quite distressing that the design argument, thousands of years in existence, became entangled in the shenanigans of school room politics, which is why I was so happy to see the Dover decision. But why would anyone think that a court decision would shut down arguments or political activity that adapts to the new terrain? I never implied that this was entailed in the post-wedge world. What matters in the post-wedge world is that the threat of ID has clearly become the threatiness of ID.

Besides, Nick, my hunch is that you are rather giddy about the possibilities of round 4.

    Nick,

I'm not sure if your comment was meant for my blog. I'm certainly not trying to get ID taught in public high schools. I'll leave that up to you and the rest of the scientific community, once you've seen the light.

I am pursuing a wedge strategy of my own, but with much different targets and objectives.

BTW, is there a way that I can set it up so that "God is a liberal" comes at the end of my comments, and it can be a link to my blog?

Bilbo: I am pursuing a wedge strategy of my own, but with much different targets and objectives.

That remark is a reminder that "wedge strategies" are commonplace. Generally we object when the secondary objectives of a particular group's efforts do not accord with our own. Otherwise we tend to ignore the phenomenon.

I agree. Now how do you do that thing where I can click on your name and see your blog?

    God is a Liberal

There. That's what I want. At the end of my comment. Everytime.

    Hi Bilbo,

You can't have an automatic signature, but I've made your name clickable. It should work the next time you post a comment.
