As usual, defenders of Darwin discuss everything except evolution. For example, they avoid discussing why there are very few examples of gradual transition, (Gould called this the trade secret of paleontology), or why The rich get richer and the poor get children (opposite of Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest). He avoids discussing why former icons of evolution like the evolution of the horse are now downplayed, or why junk DNA is now becoming more and more valuable. (All that "junk" was supposed to prove evolution). Random variations and natural selection take no part in the great biological advances during the last century. He never discusses Haldene's dilemma, or why most mutations are harmfull and cannot account for evolution. Etc, etc.
I recently read Ken Miller's recent book Only a Theory. He showcases the horse transition prominently in his discussion of evidence for evolution. I also recently finished reading the book Did Man Create God. Nick Matzke is mentioned in both books. I've now started my own drinking game. Whenever I buy an evolution-related book, I make myself a mint julep whenever Matzke is mentioned.
