Dawkins Fest 2006
by MikeGeneMy original Dawkins Fest was interrupted when the Dawkins essay was temporality removed from the Internet. Since then, it has reappeared on the much more widely-read Huffington Post, thus it seems worth reposting the Dawkins Fest, this time in its entirety.
Dawkins on the DI Payroll?: Dawkins undermines the Dover decision as he argues for supernatural causes in science.
The Emotional Scientist: While Dawkins officially preaches about the need to follow "evidence," he is guided by the emotion of Fear.
So how do we blame the creationists for this one?:Dawkins makes a very odd claim about British students.
Dawkins on the OOL: Dawkins rationalizes the lack of evidence for abiogenesis as evidence for abiogenesis.
Dawkins Tries to Find God: When Dawkins tries to debunk theism, we end up questioning his basic understanding of science and theology.
Exaggerate the Awe: Dawkins admits he wanted to write an anti-religious screed and had to settle for a Darwinian account of evolution as a second choice to carry out the same objective.
The Chamberlainites and the Churchillians: Dawkins confirms the fact that many Defenders of Science really have an agenda of evangelizing for atheism.
Dawkins and Morality: Dawkins shows his authoritarian side.
And for a bonus, there's Dawkins Goes Limp on Free Will :Dawkins has a convenient, yet strange bout of amnesia when it comes to free will and morality.

Yay! Can we celebrate "Dawkins Fest" next year? And every year thereafter, for as long as Dawkins allows us to do so via his words and actions?

Why not? 2007 should be an interesting year for the Anti-Religion movement. With their coercive agenda exposed, along with their Blasphemy videoes, one wonders what other expressions of reason and evidence we will be treated to.
