Good things come to those who wait

by Krauze

Frozen cavemenEd Brayton passes on this beer commercial (if you have trouble viewing it, try going here). It depicts the history of life in fast backwards motion, going from a bar to a primordial pond. Who knew the apex of creation was a frosty one?

You mean the apex of evolution, don't you? I thought the point of the ad was, "you silly humans might think you're the pinnacle of evolution, but some of know (wink, wink), that beer is really the crowning achievement of evolution!

For myself, I've never liked beer. Just never could quite develop that "taste" for it. It all looks and smells like horse pee to me!

I've seen this add before. Very clever. I do believe Guiness is not a beer but a stout (being Irish it's my national duty to know this…) however i'm not sure the difference.

It's also a take on the Fatboy Slim video for "Right Here Right Now" (I think), which traces evolution in the other direction in four minutes or thereabouts … Guinness have consistently over the decades had amongst the most innovative ads in the industry.
