It's been a bad week for threatiness. First, the Kansas State Board of Education overturned previous standards written in part by advocates of intelligent design. Second, it turns out the despite all the heated misinformation from the critics, the USA leads the world in science literacy.

And now this?

This article reports, "Britain is the worst place to grow up in the developed world, according to the first study of its kind." I mention this here because if the study had shown "America is the worst place to grow up in the developed world," it would likely be mentioned on the "pro-science" blogs and creationism/religion would be blamed. Of course, since the "˜worst place to grow up in" happens to be Richard Dawkins' backyard, we have been spared the latest round of threatiness from the critics.

If you are a critic invested in the idea of frightening people about ID and creationism, just how bad is it getting for you? Well, all y'can do is throw an irrational tantrum because some creationist dude got a PhD at some university. Or, you can express Holy Outrage because people recognize the arrogance of critics. Sad.
