Anyone here actually gullible enough to believe the DI's propaganda that this bill, and the DI's "critical analysis" textbook Explore Evolution, which will undoubtedly now be pushed onto students in Louisiana, constitute science and not creationism in disguise?

I think I've alienated everyone at Reppert's blog. Might as well come back here. Hey Nick, better get that PhD fast! Looks like the NCSE needs you in a hurry! Maybe you can hop a ride on Mike's rabbit! After he takes care of North Korea, it's straight to Louisiana!

Dembski pretty much admitted it the other day:

Discovery Institute’s persistent stress on humans being made in the image of God and that not being a privilege extended to the rest of the animal world makes more and more sense.

Nick and Steve, I'm sure there are folks ready, willing and able to file suit immediately to challenge the law and take it all the way to the SCOTUS. It's not like Louisiana isn't famous for trying to sneak creationism into classrooms.

And if that's what's up, it will be declared unconstitutional. What Chicken Littles y'all are! I know what happened to the 'Land of the Free', what I can't figure out is what happened to the 'Home of the Brave'. It had to have happened before freedom got lost.

Which reminds me–Does anyone know anything about the Hanoi Tower puzzle? (See how my mind works, alliteratively, "annoy" -> "Hanoi". LOL)

Behe's IC seems like such a static concept. But are their certain sets (or sequences) of actions, or procedures, "irreducibly" necessary for producing specific results? See what I'm saying?

(I offer this, not so much because I'm annoyed with discussions about others' "spiritual experiences," as bored with them.)

I think so. That's a different way of looking at this issue. This is tied in with the idea of constraints IMO.

Yeah, used to 'play' it all the time with my toddlers and their plastic rainbow donut towers (which is what I call it, since I'm married to a Viet-era vet). Recursion. Which of course plays a role in deep time adaptation, but not so much in things like punk-eek. Sans directed mutation, that is, and while channeling also plays its role, there's not enough time there (apparently) for straight randomness.
