Reflections on Chapter 1 of The Design Matrix
by Bilbo Thought I would do a play-by-play, as I'm reading.
Very readable. The Face of Mars is a good example to use. It gets across the idea of non-human design. I didn't realize the Soup View of life was held until so recently. Very informative.
One criticism: Mike writes:
Not only can we see faces in clouds, but if we look hard enough, we can see snakes, dragons, mountains, and just about anything else that can be conjured with the imagination.
A clear opportunity to mention "rabbits" slips through his fingers. ![]()

Does that mean evolution can also be conjured with the imagination?

Hey Mike, I'm doing a little Christmas shopping here. Do you get more money if I order the books through AVP? Or can I just do Amazon?

Hi paijo.
Your picture was not only creative, but it made me laugh. I'd say for that, you deserve a free copy. Especially if you promise to blog something about the book after you read it. Just go to my book blog , click on the contact page, and e-mail me a mailing address. I'll order you up a copy.

Hi Mike Gene,
Thanks for the offer. I am really excited. However, I don't think it will be fair for you and the person who posted the picture. I was not the one posting the picture. I was only translating the text.
However, if you still intend to order the book for me I am very grateful and promised to blog something about the book on my blog. My blog is: http://jesusalone.multiply.com. I have translated some of Dembski's writing and posted them on my blog. I also have a link to this blog on my blog.
regards,
Paijo
