It is amazing that all life's processes can be produced from a selection of linear sequences of twenty amino acids. It will be more amazing when someone proposes a novel sequence and predicts then demonstrates its functionality.

Makes me wonder what came first; 2D information or 3D function ,where both are dependant of the other for expression.
Given that the amino acid sequence in either prokayrotes or eukaryotes need 3D folded protiens to be expressed, how did the linear sequence the folded protien become so intimately associted ?
