    Hi Mike,

    You wrote…

Congrats to TP for making #1!

    Thank You.

I was honestly unsure of how that thread was going to be received.

I am very surprised at the interest it generated.

    Hi TP,

What I have found over the years is that the ID types on the internet tend to be open-minded, diverse, and curious. If such people did not exist, I would likely have not bothered with writing the DM.

BTW, I'll probably post your other guest submission after the holiday.

Maybe another look at lateral gene transfer would be a good idea for a thread this month?

Incidentally, I like that comment at the end where the scientist expresses certainty that we (implying humans, I guess?) won't be around, but wolbachia will be. Ever get the feeling that some people are downright giddy at the prospect of humanity going extinct?

Speaking of "The Uniform", PZ has posted pictures of himself and his daughter wearing the 'A' shirt. As MikeGene asked me to drop a comment when that happened, here it is.

    Speaking of the Design Matrix…

Mike, any chance that date will stick?

TP, it was a good post. Over my head and I had to do alot of back up reading for it to make better sense, but either way - nice work.

    Hi Doug,

It should not be much longer before the rabbit begins to dance. BTW, I really enjoyed your wise comments here. In some ways, it is similar to my writing the DM. More than once I had to ask myself if I really wanted to get any deeper into this bitter and mean-spirited debate. But then I felt strongly that someone should say what I have to say and didn't want to spend the rest of my life regretting that I did not say it. We'll see.
