My wife's best friend recently was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is 35 years old.

Being so young, she had never had a mammogram. There was also no lump present, as the tumor was not encapsulated. She was healthy and fit. My wife and I followed her journey from the beginning.

She had a series of three dreams one evening. In each of the three dreams, God told her that she had breast cancer. That morning she told my wife about her dreams, and they figured that since God repeated the warning three times, perhaps a mammogram might not be such a bad idea. She went to the doctor, and after the mammogram, the doctor told her to come in for a biopsy.

The biopsy revealed cancer, and surgery was scheduled. They removed a golf ball sized chunk of breast tissue and sent her home. It was revealed after later examination that this variety of cancer was highly aggressive and deadly. According to the doctor, if the cancer had not been detected this early, it would likely have spread and grown to lethal proportions within a year.

She is currently getting radiation treatments as a precaution, but feels healthy and confident that the cancer is gone. Thank God.

I'm glad for your friend, chunkdz. Too bad God didn't feel like giving my mother the heads up, even though she was a regular church-goer. Mysterious ways, eh?
